This cocktail was an experiment that worked out perfectly.  I was trying to create a better version of the canned seltzer margaritas.  This turned out very light, crisp and refreshing and went amazing with my spicy fajitas. This might not even be considered a margarita but it’s close enough.

Ingredients

  • 2oz Tequila

  • 1/2oz Patron Citronge

  • 1/2oz Triple Sec

  • 1 Lime (Juiced)

  • 1 Bottle Jarritos Lime Soda

  • Margarita Salt

Directions

  • In a cocktail shaker combine tequila, lime juice, Citronge, and triple sec. Shake until ice is almost dissolved.
  • Prep Lo-ball glass by wetting the rim then dipping the glass in the margarita salt, fill glass 1/2 full with ice.
  • Strain tequila mixture over the ice, then top with the Jarritos Lime soda until full. (Takes about 6oz)

Notes

  • This combination would work well with any of the flavors of Jarritos Soda. I have tried it with a pineapple soda and it turned out just as good.
