In my opinion the perfect rib rub should be able to make barbeque sauce optional. It should be sweet, salty, with a little bit of heat. This rub is my go to for ribs.
A note on all of the rubs that I make. I like to make more than one application worth and store them in old spice containers so they can be quickly added when needed. When a rub contains brown sugar it will tend to clump up when it has been sitting for a few days so I use a blender bottle shaker ball.
